The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System (BHHCS) will host a Veteran Stand Down and Enrollment Fair on May 9 & 10, 2019. The event is open to all Veterans and their families and there is no charge for any of the services provided.
The event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on May 9th and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on May 10th at the Western Nebraska Community College Harms Center, Low Bay on 2620 College Park in Scottsbluff.
New to the event is a focus on Veteran enrollment and eligibility for VA services. Individuals who have served in the military but have never received VA health care or have become disconnected with VA health care may wish to attend to learn more. Veterans should bring their DD 214 and 2018 annual household income
In addition to the variety of resource booths, on May 9th,
VA BHHCS Director, Sandra Horsman, will host an informal “Coffee with the Director” where Veterans can stop by a booth to ask questions and discuss what’s important in VA health care.
The event is cosponsored by the Western Nebraska Community College Veterans Upward Bound, Nebraska Department of Labor, and VetSet Nebraska.
