Saturday’s forum at the West Nebraska Family Research and History Center will be a power point presentation on the the Legacy of the the Civilian Conservation Corps in Western Nebraska.
Enacted by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1933, there were 32 Camps in Nebraska and 2 in Wyoming. The presentation Saturday will include old copies of photographs mixed with current photographs of Camps in this area, including the Wildcat Hills Nature Center, Scotts Bluff National Monument, Lake Minatare and Guernsey WY.
The program is at 1:30pm Saturday at the West Nebraska Family Research and History Center, 1602 Avenue A in Scottsbluff. The program is free and open to the public.
The Center is open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 4pm.
