History and equine movie enthusiasts have an opportunity to attend another BORN TO REIN documentary film screening.
The NILE THEATRE will feature BORN TO REIN to help kick-off Scotts Bluff County Fair week (July 27- Aug. 3)
Mitchell is a significant location for the screening, as it was here in Mitchell – where Breeders’ Cup World Championship co-founder, John Nerud, first got “the bug” to become a jockey at the Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds.
Sunday, July 28th, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 1pm Meet & Greet the Co-Producers, Jody L. Lamp and Melody Dobson.
Tickets can be purchase at the NILE THEATRE box office the day of the screening. Price are Adults – $7 Children (11 and under) – $5. All Balcony Seats – $8.
BORN TO REIN honors the lives and careers of National Hall of Fame horsemen – John Nerud of Minatare, Neb., and father-and-son trainers, Marion and Jack Van Berg of Columbus, Neb., – and how the impact their horsemanship continues to influence the national thoroughbred industry today.
Funding from a City of Mitchell LB840 Economic Development Grant helped the co-producers bring their film crew to Mitchell, complete post-production editing and digitize historic race day images that are featured in the film.
