UW Extension and the Goshen County Emergency Management Department invite agriculture producers, law enforcement, fire fighters, public health officials, County Commissioners, veterinarians and others to attend this even t which includes a FEMA EMI Exercise, training on livestock transportation accidents, disease and ownership issues during emergencies and practical livestock handling during disasters.

The Emergency Manager will use interaction to enhance the response plans for livestock and agriculture to increease communication and capability. This may well be an eye opening experience which can help local entities work more effectively and more safely together to protect our rural communities.

The course is both FEMA and Wyoming P.O.S.T. accredited. County entities will be asked to work in groups that reflect their juridiction. Instructors have been accredited in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming as well as USDA and FEMA.
