Goshen Co Partial Fire Ban @ Goshen Co WY
Jun 30 all-day

A Partial Fire Ban on all lands in Goshen County goes into effect Monday June 29th.

While controlled burns are allowed, it may not be advisable. As the land owner, monitor all available weather forecasts before setting fires. You are reminded to call the Torrington Dispatch Center at 532-7001 to report controlled burns prior to starting and call before you leave the scene. That number again is 532-7001.

The abundant grass and weed stands are in a  state of critical
volatility. Grass and weeds are now fuels to feed grassland and property fires.

For your own safety and well being, right now is the time to assess your own property conditions. If needed, take time to clean up around rural homes and out-buildings. Help give our Goshen County Firefighters winning options to safely control fires on your properties.

And since the ban will be in effect prior to the 4 th of July, you are specifically reminded that the use of fireworks and explosives are specifically addressed as not allowed with exception of municipally sponsored events in Goshen County.

Should you have questions, call the Goshen County Fire Warden’s Office at 532-7952.
