The Scotts Bluff County Volunteer Center has been serving the area for over 30 years, one of their programs is The Meals on Wheels Program.
The Meals on Wheels program runs Monday through Friday and delivers over 100 meals a day, over 25,000 meals a year.
The Meals on Wheels program is in need of volunteer drivers.

The City of Gering would like to inform citizens that the traffic light at 10th Street and Country Club Road will not be operating beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 through approximately September 18.
The City will be updating street lights and making pavement repairs.
Traffic controls will be in place – there will be a two-way stop. East and west bound traffic will be required to stop. North and south bound traffic will not be required to stop.
The City respectfully requests that drivers and pedestrians use caution when travelling in this area.
Scotts Bluff National Monument’s Centennial Exhibit will be on display at the Legacy of the Plains Museum this summer.
The exhibit titled “100 Years of Scotts Bluff National Monument” will be open to the public starting Thursday, May 9th, through September.
Showcasing the vast history and culture at Scotts Bluff National Monument, the exhibit will feature an original soap box derby car, an adobe brick made by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930’s, historical photographs, interpretive displays and the William Henry Jackson prints originally housed in the Visitor Center, which is undergoing a major renovation and expansion project.
The centennial exhibit will be free and open to the public. Regular museum admission is required for the main gallery.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The City of Gering will begin spraying for mosquitoes on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. Spraying will continue every Tuesday and Thursday evening; weather permitting, for the remainder of the mosquito season.
The City of Terrytown has contracted with the City of Gering for mosquito spraying on Tuesdays in residential areas, in the parks and along trails.

The Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Health Care System will hold a suicide awareness conference focusing on prevention, intervention and postvention on Sept. 12 at the First National Bank Building at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland. The event, “Healing the Hidden Pain,” will begin at 8 a.m., and participants should park in Lot B, at the facility located at 5280 Arena Circle, in Loveland.

The City of Scottsbluff Public Works Department mosquito spraying program will be on Fridays, weather permitting, from 3:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. If it is raining or the wind is above 10 MPH, we will not be spraying.
This schedule will be throughout the summer to let the public know

The City of Scottsbluff invites the public to Food Truck Fridays during the month of September.
Food Truck Fridays in Scottsbluff will begin on September 6th and continue through the month. Food trucks will be serving from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at which time local artists will provide music and entertainment.
It will be a great time for people to come down and enjoy local, delicious food whether they purchase it from one of the trucks or a downtown restaurant. If folks are going to a high school sporting event, they can stop by, grab a bite and listen to a little music before the game begins.
