Juvenile NA/AA Meeting

Valley Youth Connections is hosting a Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting.  This is a 17 and under closed group.

Snacks and refreshments available.  The NA/AA group will have a meeting every Tuesday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Valley Youth Connections, 29 S. Beltline Hwy West.

Toddler Read and Romp Story and Playtime @ Gering Public Library

Toddler Read and Romp Story and Playtime happens each Wednesday morning at the Gering Public Library.  The program is targeted toward children ages 1 to 3.  The first 30 minutes at 10:00am consists of books and songs, finger plays,  felt board stories, rhymes, and movement activities.

The second 30 minutes involves hands on materials and activities for an educational and social playtime.

Preschool Move and Groove Storytime meets each Thursday morning at 10:00am at the Gering Public Library.  It is targeted toward kids ages 3 to 5.  Movement and sound accompanies read-alouds, feltboard stories, rhymes, finger plays, videos and a craft or educational activity.  Children must be accompanied by a caregiver but no registration is required.

Free Soup Dinner @ Scottsbluff

A free soup dinner is served at the Scottsbluff Church of Christ at 5:30 pm. Come and enjoy the free meal, the last Friday of each month.   The church is located at 1919 Ave “N” Scottsbluff.

Let Independence Rising give your extra, gently used durable medical equipment a home.

Your donation allows Independence Rising to rent durable medical equipment to individuals who have a disability or are recovering from illness or surgery. This assistive equipment provides essential support necessary for individuals to live independently in the community. Equipment rents for $10/per item for 4 months.

They are currently in need of manual wheelchairs; slide boards & tub/shower transfer benches.

Knights of Columbus Bingo @ KC Hall

The Knights of Columbus would like to remind everyone that Monday night is Bingo night.  Doors open at 5:00 pm, and the games start at 7:00 pm.  Burgers, hotdogs, and other snacks are available for purchase.  All proceeds also go to help fund local charities. 
The Knights Hall is at 1719 1st Avenue in Scottsbluff.

Digital Citizenship Classes @ Lied Scottsbluff Public Library

AIM Educational Opportunity Center will be hosting Digital Citizenship Classes on the first Wednesday of each month beginning Oct 2nd, from 10am-12pm in the meeting room of the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library.
Anyone who utilizes the internet for social or information technology is encouraged to attend. Topics will vary each month but include, how to use the internet safely, technology updates for android and apple users, navigating websites, ecommerce safety, and more.

Puzzles of the Past @ Legacy of the Plains Museum

Puzzles of the Past will be held on the second  Friday, of the month,  9:00 am at Legacy of the Plains Museum in Gering.

Puzzles of the Past provide attendees to learn a little bit about the towns in our area through photographs in the Musuem collections and to discuss, tell stories, and socialize. There is no cost to attend.
