Mosquito Spraying @ Scottsbluff

The City of Scottsbluff Public Works Department mosquito spraying program will be on Fridays, weather permitting, from 3:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. If it is raining or the wind is above 10 MPH, we will not be spraying.

This schedule will be throughout the summer to let the public know
which mornings and time we will be out if you need to close your windows.  Please call our office at 308-630-6297 if you have any questions.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF 11TH STREET @ Gering
Aug 23 all-day

Due to storm damage to a large tree on 11th Street, between O Street and N Street in Gering, this portion of 11th Street will be closed until the situation can be safely mitigated. 

The public is asked to please stay out of barricaded areas for their safety and to allow City personnel time to remove the tree. The City respectfully requests everyone’s patience during this process.

West Lawn Cemetery in Gering encountered significant storm damage to trees Tuesday evening.  All portions of the cemetery west of the main road will be closed until further notice. Roads have been barricaded  in sections that have not been cleared.  The public is asked to please stay out of barricaded areas for their safety and to allow staff time to assess trees in the west section for additional damage.   As sections are cleared barricades will be removed and portions of the west half will be reopened.  The public is asked to be patient as it may take some time to complete the clean-up process.

Gering tree dump OPEN Saturday @ Gering

Due to the large number of downed tree limbs from the storm, residents may take tree limbs to the tree dump on East U Street located by the Gering Wastewater Treatment Plant on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Weekday hours are 8:00am – 2:00pm Monday through Friday. City personnel will not be able to pick up tree limbs curb side.

Let Independence Rising give your extra, gently used durable medical equipment a home.

Your donation allows Independence Rising to rent durable medical equipment to individuals who have a disability or are recovering from illness or surgery. This assistive equipment provides essential support necessary for individuals to live independently in the community. Equipment rents for $10/per item for 4 months.

They are currently in need of manual wheelchairs; slide boards & tub/shower transfer benches.

Knights of Columbus Bingo @ KC Hall

The Knights of Columbus would like to remind everyone that Monday night is Bingo night.  Doors open at 5:00 pm, and the games start at 7:00 pm.  Burgers, hotdogs, and other snacks are available for purchase.  All proceeds also go to help fund local charities.
